Cool stuff that I like!

So this week I have come across a number of awesome sites/clips/videos

Science is Awesome

First of all, this awesome link by Google+ user Eric Cheng - Science is Awesome (original content by Youtube user brusspup)

Using a combination of frequency/frame rate trickery, the experiment gives the illusion that the water is stopped still in time, or in fact in the second part....flowing backwards..

I forwarded this link on to our Science department and they want to give it a try - whether they have a decent video camera or not though is a different story! :)

Farbspiel Photography

Next up is a site that is related to a form of photography that I have a great passion for: HDR (High Dynamic Range)

http://farbspiel-photo.com/

Site owner Klaus Herrmann has created a dizzying array of tutorials, troubleshooters, resources and practice content for anyone looking into getting into the field of HDR photography, or indeed like myself, already have a fair bit of experience in the art.

The section I found most useful was about the initial import into Photomatix and which file formats seem to work the best, this has completely changed my workflow for HDR's, previously I would import the raw files straight into Photomatix and apply image alignment within the program, which would occasionally leave ugly fringing and artifacts...no more!

Post 1

Hello and welcome, my name is Jack... and this is my new home away from home.

I'm not normally one to self advertise on the web (How Vain), however I do feel that I have a vast wealth of thoughts, idea's and knowledge that you know... perhaps YOU might wish to read... or perhaps not, but...hey, you know where the door is...right?

CiƔo for now Jack
